Well, hello, hello, hello. I just popped out for a few minutes in April and now it is October. I have been rather busy this summer, what with marrying off a son, becoming a grandmother, enjoying my OH leaving full-time paid employment, oh, yes, and moving house.
And county. And urban to deeply rural.
At present our lives are full of boxes, and unknown plumbing, fires that need matches and new people and places. At the centre of all of this is a little piece of the garden of Eden we now call home, a place I shall enjoy sharing with you as I learn it’s secrets through the seasons and gradually make it ours.
We have luckily happened upon a place already deeply loved and cared for, where I shall be content to observe for a while. The plants we transported in a separate trailer to our household goods will rapidly vanish into this space. Indeed, some already have and there are border spaces to liberate some of the perennials that have outgrown their pots. There is plenty of room for them to spread their roots here, and for us too.
