About

This blog began as a record of the garden I have cultivated from a building site here in North Wiltshire for the last 17 years. I have tracked its growth and maturing over the years and at one time believed I could identify every plant in it, because I had planted it.

But recently I realised  there were many plants that have arrived under their own steam and all those insects and arthropods-they owe little or nothing to my efforts. And now the garden is my wildlife sanctuary, as well as an ongoing source of photographic and artistic inspiration, a vegetable garden and a haven.

The scope of the blog has changed , ebbed and flowed over the years with the passing of time and my ever changing preoccupations. Do come back to visit often-you will be very welcome.
